Our Septic Installers Take You Step by Step for Each Septic Installation

Whether you’re getting a septic system installation for the first time or you’re installing a replacement septic system will determine the steps involved for a septic installation. This is a general overview of typical steps to a new septic system installation or a replacement septic system:

1. Required by State of Ohio, the homeowner will need to contact their county health department to request a site review of the property. The county health department may request that the homeowner contact a licensed soil scientist to evaluate the soil prior to the site review.
2. Once the site review has been completed, the county health department will tell you what type of system(s) you are able to install on your property. At this time you will contact your installer.
3. The next step is to get a septic design. We can assist the homeowner in this step as we work directly with a septic designer that will create a plan that is best suited for your property. If preferred, the homeowner can do this step on their own by requesting a list of approved septic designers from the county health department.
4. When the plan is complete, we’ll visit your site, go over the quote, describe the process and discuss any questions or concerns you may have.
5. Double Flush works with the you to ensure all permitting is handled in accordance with your town/city and county’s regulations. Once we have the “Permit to Install or Alter a Sewage Treatment System,” we are all set to proceed with the septic system installation.
6. We begin the installation with the signed contract and deposit.
7. As we install the system, we will work with the county inspector. They will complete multiple inspections of our work and approve the septic installation.
