Are you familiar with the differences between Septic and Sewer systems?
In the realm of waste management, two primary systems reign supreme: the septic tank and the sewer system. Each comes with its own set of advantages and disadvantages, making them suitable for different scenarios.
At Double Flush, we want our customers to have an understanding of the pros and cons of their potential systems and investments. Our expertise can help you make an informed decision about which system is best for your property.
Septic Tank System:
Pros:
- Cost-Effective: Initial installation costs are typically lower than connecting to a sewer system.
- Low Maintenance: Requires minimal maintenance if used properly.
- Environmentally Friendly: Septic systems can be more eco-friendly, as they treat wastewater on-site.
- Long Lifespan: With proper care, a septic system can last for decades.
Cons:
- Regular Pumping: Septic tanks require periodic pumping to remove solid waste.
- Space Requirements: Needs adequate land space for installation, which may not be suitable for all properties.
- Potential Odor: Improper maintenance can lead to unpleasant odors.
Sewer System:
Pros:
- Convenience: No need to worry about maintenance or pumping.
- Reliable: Sewer systems are typically more reliable than septic tanks.
- No Land Requirements: Suitable for properties with limited space.
Cons:
- Cost: Connecting to a sewer system can be expensive, including ongoing service fees.
- Environmental Impact: Sewage from sewer systems requires treatment at a centralized facility.
- Lack of Control: Homeowners have less control over their wastewater treatment process.

My socks in tank needed replaced. They recommended ASI who completely ruined my system when they cleaned the socks. Then double flush recommend wires from septic be brought above ground and recommended a electrician who completely screwed the electrical with the septic. I feel that once I ripped ASI on review- double flush was purposely causing issues. Never using again.Posted on Google charles McKeeAugust 14, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had tank pumped and cleaned by double flush. Our home was having backflow issues so we needed a flush quickly and Double Flush was able to accommodate. Scott followed up with us afterwards, explained the work that he did, and made sure we didn’t have any other questions. Price was reasonable as well.
